Technical Specifications
Built to Last. Designed for Reliability.
One of the biggest advantages of the Ekohouse Climate One™ is its remarkably simple and dependable design.
Unlike many traditional heating systems, there are very few moving parts inside the unit. The primary mechanical component is the compressor—the same proven technology that has kept refrigerators running reliably in homes for decades.
Fewer moving parts mean:
- Greater long-term reliability
- Lower maintenance requirements
- Quieter operation
- Improved efficiency
- Enhanced durability
To ensure exceptional performance, every Ekohouse Climate One™ is powered by a GMCC high-efficiency inverter compressor. GMCC compressors are recognised throughout the HVAC industry for their reliability, quiet operation and energy efficiency, and are used by many of the world's leading premium air conditioning manufacturers.
Combined with advanced DC inverter technology and environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant, the result is a climate system designed to deliver years of dependable, energy-efficient heating and cooling for your home.

Efficiency in Every Breath
Ekohouse Climate Systems carries a clean, modern strength, focused on elevating comfort and sustainability in everyday living.
Most people think air conditioning is only useful during the summer, but modern heat pump technology can also provide an incredibly efficient and cost-effective way to heat your home throughout the winter.
The Ekohouse Climate One uses advanced inverter technology to generate up to 3kW of heat while consuming as little as 800W of electricity, making it significantly more efficient than many traditional electric heaters. On colder days, the built-in 1kW booster heater automatically provides additional support, delivering up to 4kW of total heating output when you need it most.
As UK energy prices continue to rise, heat pump technology offers homeowners a smarter alternative—producing several units of heat from every unit of electricity consumed.
And when summer arrives, the same unit transforms into a powerful cooling system, helping you stay comfortable during increasingly hot British summers.
Designed for Every Season
✔ Efficient winter heating
✔ Powerful summer cooling
✔ Fan and dehumidifier functions
✔ Ultra-quiet operation from just 39dB
✔ Smart Wi-Fi control
✔ No outdoor condenser unit required
✔ Simple installation with only two wall openings
The system combines cooling, heating, fan and dehumidification functions in a single compact unit and can be installed high or low on the wall to suit your home.
Ready for Solar
For even greater savings, the Ekohouse Climate One can be paired with a simple plug-and-play solar panel system. On bright days, an 800W solar panel installation may offset much of the unit's energy consumption, helping to reduce running costs while keeping your home comfortable all year round.
Whether you're warming your home on a frosty January morning or cooling your living room during a summer heatwave, Ekohouse delivers intelligent climate control with impressive efficiency.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Ekohouse monoblock climate systems.
What is a monoblock air conditioner?
A monoblock air conditioner is a self-contained climate unit that requires no outdoor condenser unit. All refrigerant components are housed inside a single appliance, which vents air to the outside via two small through-wall duct apertures.
Does it need an outdoor unit?
No. The Ekohouse system is a true monoblock - the entire unit sits indoors. Only two small ventilation apertures are needed through the exterior wall.
Can it heat as well as cool?
Yes. The 10,000 BTU and 12,000 BTU models provide both cooling and heating, making them a year-round climate solution. The 8,000 BTU model provides cooling, fan and dehumidification modes.
Do I need an F-Gas installer?
The manufacturer states that installation can be completed indoors without an F-Gas engineer, as no refrigerant pipework is exposed during fitting. Always refer to the product installation guide and applicable local regulations.
How noisy is the unit?
The unit operates as quietly as 39 dB at its lowest fan speed - comparable to a quiet library. The four fan speeds allow you to balance comfort and noise level to suit your environment.
Can it be controlled by WiFi?
Yes. All models support WiFi app control via a companion smartphone app, as well as the included IR remote control and onboard LCD touch panel.
Which room sizes are suitable?
The 12,000 BTU model is suited to rooms up to approximately 35 m². Contact us for a tailored recommendation.
Is R290 environmentally friendly?
R290 (propane) is a natural refrigerant with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 3 - significantly lower than conventional HFC refrigerants. It is widely regarded as one of the most environmentally responsible refrigerant options available.
Why is the Ekohouse Climate One so reliable?
The Ekohouse Climate One has been designed with long-term reliability and simplicity in mind. Unlike many traditional heating systems, it has very few moving mechanical parts. The primary component is the GMCC inverter compressor, which works using the same proven refrigeration technology found in domestic refrigerators and premium heat pump systems.
By reducing the number of moving parts, the system benefits from:
- Greater long-term reliability
- Lower maintenance requirements
- Quiet operation from as little as 39dB
- High energy efficiency
- Consistent year-round performance
We specify GMCC compressors because they are recognised throughout the HVAC industry for their quality, durability and efficiency. They are used by many of the world's leading air conditioning and heat pump manufacturers, giving you confidence that your Ekohouse Climate One™ is built using trusted, premium components.
Combined with advanced DC inverter technology and environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant, the Ekohouse Climate One™ is engineered to provide dependable heating and cooling for many years while keeping running costs low.
